	person, this entry will be, as an exception, written in

	You all probably already know what I've done as mortal, and
	how I have contributed to the game. But to recap, I've created
	various tools, almost all of which are freely available with
	code and all. I've authored and maintain probably the most
	commonly used TinyFugue script/trigger set for BatMUD, GgrTF.
	These map pages are result of my work, and the location data
	is used in Jeskko's map and even BatClient. I've also produced
	videos from two Kepucon events, both videos having been received
	rather well in the BatMUD community.

	In January of 2012 something rather unlikely happened, as after
	years of denying that I have any aspirations to immort,
	I suddenly decided to just do it. Things rolled on with
	fast pace and the very next day I was a newbie wizard.
	Thanks go to ~Heidel~ for sponsoring and ~Juggelo~ for being
	archwizardly.

	My accomplishments as a wizard (as of 2015) are too numerous to
	count, including one area, recode/cleanups/improvements of several
	areas, in-game commands, items, etc. I have worked on improving
	various aspects of the mudlib-code, fixed hundreds of bugs, etc.
	Although my activity level tends to vary, I usually spend few months
	per year on improving the "BatMUD experience".

	Jeskko the fluffy newbie bunnywizard is currently fixing bugs
	and codeslaving around. What else he will do in future, remains
	yet to be seen ...

	Original coder of the Robin Hood event and BatCity/Arelium dungeons.

Darol;fin;bat;darol.jpg;
	The funniest [b]arch[/b]wizard in BatMUD .. at least in his own mind.
	[b]No, really! He is funny.[/b]
	The most notable of Darol's works so far are the Ancona manor,
	Kharim guild (The Legions of Blood God), new Evil Priests guild
	(Triad of Darkness) and generally contributing greatly to the lore of the game.
	[p]
	In addition he has contributed to different kinds of smaller projects
	as well, including the usual bugfixes and maintaining various things.
	Amongst the fellow wizards he is known for his
	megalomaniac obsession for documentation which sometimes
	grows larger than the projects themselves.
	[p]
	[b]Darol ascended to archwizardhood in 20th of August 2011
	during Kepucon 2011.[/b]

Femko;ger;bat;femko.jpg;
	The kinky wizard from Germany, the land of beer and bratwurst,
	und lederhosen. His known work includes sub-areas in the
	Valley of the Kings, such as the ship in Sesmia and Liscom's tower.
	[p]
	It is also rumoured that he is working on a new secret project (a
	guild)...

Dralith;usa;bat;dralith.jpg;
	One of the most active new wizards as of 2007. Often works on
	fixing bugs and maintaining / recoding things. Many of the new
	BatMUD's website improvements have been implemented by him.
	In addition, he also has created E'siris, a city on the ethereal
	plane, among other smaller area-related things.

Juggelo;fin;;juggelo.jpg;
	During his wizardly career, mr. Juggelo was a real all-around
	handyman. His contributions included coding the feared eq-monster,
	[b]ancient beholder Gou'ljeg[/b], the bloom of prosperity event,
	work on maintaining areas and
	monsters, working on the mudlib, fixing bugs, recoding, etc.
	[i]He probably touched the code of almost every single eq-monster
	in the game[/i]. He was also known for making several larger tunes
	(for example the race-rebalancing of 2006), and became known as
	the tune/balance arch for his work on keeping the game balanced.
	[p]
	Juggelo ascended to archwizardhood in May 2007.
	[p]
	He was the secretary and vice-chairman of the <a href="http://www.bat.org/batry">Balanced Alternative Techniques ry ("B.A.T. ry") board</a>.
	[p]
	[b]He passed away after a short period of illness on 6th of May 2022.
	May he rest in peace.[/b]

Shinarae;usa;;shinarae.jpg;
	Archwizard with several areas [i](some of them, like Wildspace and
	Drow Tower, are not directly accessible from outworld)[/i], of which
	some are interconnected thematically, or at least loosely through
	the master thief Trilloch's story. His areas and monsters are rich
	in diversity and content, both characteristics they are often either
	loved or hated for. Ascended to archwizardhood with ~Shardik~
	in 2005. Main author of following major (one-shot) game events in BatMUD:

	<li>Arelium Invasion (2007)</li>
	<li>Crimson Moon, coming of demon Kurenakuma (2009)</li>
	<li>Blitzkrieg event (early 2010)</li>
	<li>Halloween event 2010 aka "Redfang event"</li>
	<li>Shinarae has also often ran various special un-named one-shot events
	during April's Fool's day etc.</li>
	</ul>
	~Tarken~ interviewed Shinarae in 2006,
	<a href="http://www.maroon.com/bat/interviews/shinarae.asp">read
	it</a> for many interesting insights into his mysterious world,
	and the origins of [b]Trilloch[/b] himself.

Zin;fin;bat;zin.jpg;
	Often feared, and sometimes loved, [b]Zin[/b] is one of the grand archwizards of the
	realm. His contributions include areas and the whole new Nun
	guild (Sisters of Las), and the related quests/tasks. He also
	implemented the guild of Infizinity, aka ascension, for
	players to advance past level 100.

Mardus;fin;bat;mardus.jpg;
	Japanophile and otaku extraordinaire. When Mardus is not fanboying
	japanese girl-idols or buying photobooks, he might be fixing some
	bugs around older areas.$

Kyo;fin;;kyo.jpg;
	One of the most established eq-leaders as mortal, Kyo is now
	rocking the BatWorld as immortal. His first finished project
	was "Small Meadow" area with G'naa'Byeh in 2007. Several
	industry analysts consider G'naa'Byeh to be one of the most
	annoying eq-monsters in the game.

	[b]Remorted in December 2008, so Kukkonen Tykittää again! .. [/b]
	but re-immorted again March 2013. The guy just can't decide,
	it seems. [b]:P[/b]

Favorit;ukr|nld;bat;favorit.jpg;
	The tovarisch from Russ.. ehm, Ukraine, now living in Netherlands.
	Favorit immorted in late 2002, and
	has worked mostly on non-game elements ever since. His best
	known works include the improved news reader, exp-leecher
	and Capture the Flag events. He ascended to archwizardhood
	in October 2006.[p]
	Dryad did an in-depth interview with Favorit in 2005,
	<a href="http://www.maroon.com/bat/interviews/favorit.asp">read
	it</a> for some additional musings.$

Durand;fin|are;bat;durand.jpg;
	Durand likes to eat torches, and prefers them lit before
	consumption. Rumours tell that his other favourite snack is
	[b]cookies[/b] of various kinds.[p]
	Bat-wise Durand's contributions include one of the
	"ultimate" eq-monsters in game, [b]Tiamat, the Chromatic Dragon[/b]
	(coded with ~Tormac~). His current work mainly involves
	system maintenance of BatMUD servers. Sometimes he
	fixes bugs and codes nice things like BatURL.
	[p]
	He has also served as chairman of the <a href="http://www.bat.org/batry">Balanced Alternative Techniques ry ("B.A.T. ry") board</a>.

Dino;fin;bat;dino.jpg;
	His contributions are numerous, and include some areas,
	the rainbow and EP-eater events and the blog command. He also acted
	as a leading architect in creation of Valley of the Kings,
	one of the biggest areas in game.

	He personally claims to have coded ~Durand~.
	$

Gore;fin;bat;gore.jpg;
	One of the ancient archwizards, originally known as Goretongue.
	Although apparently retired from BatMUD development, Gore's
	contributions in past have included the party system, battle
	system, etc. He has often acted as a public spokesman and PR person
	for BatMUD and <a href="http://www.bat.org/batry">B.A.T. ry</a>.

Kitsune;usa;;kitsune.jpg;
	Your friendly neighbourhood newbie wizard. Kitsune has so far
	produced one area, 'Public Gardens', which features specific
	herbs and animals (for organs) - very useful feature for
	alchemists all around! Regrettably she has been busy with real life
	lately, but has two areas "in the making", so stay tuned.
	[p]
	~Tarken~ interviewed Kitsune in 2006, <a

	it</a> on Dryad's site.

Melemkor;usa;;melemkor.jpg;
	Certainly one of the major contributors in the current BatWorld,
	Melemkor's work spans throughout the game; implementation and maintenance of
	the new sailor guilds and ships in general being just one part of
	his repertoire. Besides those, he is also the mastermind behind
	shipquests, though some of the work was delegated to other wizards
	(~Malack~, ~Hablo~, etc.)[p]
	Last, but certainly not least, we should mention his involvement
	with the great continent tune, which moved us into the [b]Age of
	Exiles[/b]. Melemkor was the major architect behind this major change,
	although many other wizards also worked on the new content.
	[p]
	Melemkor speaks: [i]"Thanks for playing :) Some of my projects have been really
	popular, others have had decidedly mixed opinions; I hope things
	have generally worked out well, but it's always keeping things exciting
	for the players that keeps me coding."[/i].

	[b]Noctur! This wizard originating from Finland, but often living
	abroad, brings light to our days - and every single
	time he is on-line, happiness fills our hearts![/b] Seriously speaking,
	Noctur has contributed areas, and designed perhaps few of the most visible
	things in current BatWorld: terrain maps of Desolathya, Lucentium,
	Furnachia and half of Rothikgen. He also wrote the background lore and
	stories for several continents.

	Man behind many things, Ulath has ascended the ranks of wizardhood
	quickly by working on countless problems, fixing bugs, and
	also creating new content. He is known to maintain the new
	city code (used in New Rilynttar, Arelium, etc.) with Dralith.

	Ascended to archwizardhood in 14th of August, 2008.

	This dangerously handsome wizard hailing from Finland has thus
	far contributed one finished area, a miniquest,
	and also worked on the E'siris-related continent quests.
	He also mentions that as of June 2007, he has 3 new areas
	under development. Blasterr immorted in July 11th, 2005.

Jaf;fin;http://plus.google.com/110305665294400814183/posts;jaf.jpg;
	Janne Fr&ouml;sen, the Creator of BatMUD and one of the BatMUD's
	"God"-level wizards. [b]Jaf started development of BatMUD for a
	school project and it was opened in April 14th 1990[/b]. He has not been
	active in Bat for many, many years, and practically none of his code
	has survived.

Amarth;fin;;amarth.jpg;
	Author of Shadowkeep city, several areas and the Bard guild.
	Also one of the masterminds behind <a
	href="https://www.bat.org/play/batclient">Batclient</a> custom
	MUD-game client for BatMUD, and
	its addition to <a href="https://store.steampowered.com/app/616920/BatMUD/">Valve's Steam game
	store</a>.
	He has also been one of the main driving forces behind
	BatMUD anniversary galas held in 2005 (15th) and 2010 (20th)
	respectively.

	He has served as treasurer of the <a href="http://www.bat.org/batry">Balanced Alternative Techniques ry ("B.A.T. ry") board</a>.

	Implemented the player cities, secret societies
	(aka player guilds) and some races.

Zith;fin;bat;;
	Finnish wizard, who immorted in 2003. Has coded several areas
	and LQ46. Remorted under different name in June 2008.

Zoso;;bat;;
	His best known work includes Caverns of the Undying (aka "Tunnel")
	area, which has also been expanded by Merri.

	Ramjett interviewed Zoso in 2006,

	for fun and profit!

Zonni;fin;;;
	One of the BatMUD's "God"-level wizards.
	Creator of the feared Great Northern Swamps aka Zonni Swamp and
	the infamous eq-monster Burglefloogah.
	Was known for his unparalled cruelty towards players, in the
	[i]good old times[/i].
	[p]
	Was retired and offline for many years until returning suddenly
	in early August 2008. Was demoted to Avatar in Oct 2008 by joint
	decision of the archwizards mainly due to his attitude towards players
	and changed policies of BatMUD administration.
	[p]
	[b]Mon Oct 13 12:01:40 2008 [general] by Gore[/b][br]
	[i]The cosmic vortex shifts, and an old god who had recently awoken
	from its slumber has lost its power.[/i]
	[p]
	Neverthless, Zonni's status as a legendary wizard of BatMUD was
	undeniable, and references to him can be found all around in the
	game.
	[p]
	[b]He passed away in December 2011. May he rest in peace.[/b]

Dazzt;fin;bat;;
	Dazzt, also playfully known as Duz, was, during his mortal career,
	often playing a nun and unsurprisingly has dedicated much of his
	wizardly time to improving the Nun guild. He is one of the current
	maintainers of the Nun guild, along with ~Gurth~, ~Brock~, etc.

Hablo;fin;bat;hablo.jpg;
	Has done lots of maintenance of areas, and worked on approving
	other wizards' code. As to personal projects, Hablo has produced
	Monastery of Beldarus, Rusty Shield bar, ship-related stuff for
	Melemkor and some raceguilds. He also worked on Nun guild.

Neth;fin;;neth.jpg;
	Mr. Neth is mostly concentrating on producing new areas for newbies
	and harder/more difficult content for high-end of the playerbase.
	Working as an unofficial co-op development team with ~Enandor~.
	$

Souc;swe;bat;souc.jpg;
	Swedish wizard, and a creator of several rather popular areas,
	most of which are currently (since late 2006) not in the game.
	It has been mentioned, that the areas will be back "soon".
	Souc has also authored events (hiking) and commands.

	One of the regular adjusters of saato+ during his mortal career.
	Was known as Mudax for most of his pre-immort mortal career.
	Created one area during his wizardhood until remorting.

	In a huge cloud of flatulence, Corto disappears. Where he went,
	nobody knows. So long, and thanks for all the area... er, fish.

Gurth;;;;
	As a mortal, Gurth created a reputation of being a superbly
	efficient player and a rather skilled eq party leader.
	The speed that he progressed from a complete newbie to elder
	nun is still remembered as a impressive feat.
	[p]
	After immorting Gurth worked on improving the Nun guild
	and added in new form of relics. He has also worked on
	some aspects of Heidel's area "Tyr Farwyn".

Malitrius;swe;bat;;
	Malitrius, the mighty wizard from Sweden sports an
	impressive catalogue of created areas, several events
	(including the events for AQ, "Four Elements", previous LQ43), and
	also has done original code for several race guilds.
	Has a liking to big areas and orcs.

Heidel;fin;bat;heidel.jpg;
	Among other things he has coded LQ46 (Master Hunter) and
	area quest "Spirits of vengeance", but has also created
	several guilds and many, many areas of very high quality.
	He also coded and designed most of [b]Dortlewall[/b].
	[br]
	He also obviously likes bunnies, which, as we all know,
	[b]is a good thing[/b].

Malar;fin;bat;;
	In addition to areas, Malar also implemented the russian roulette
	room, 'show effects' command, 'broker command, money coffers, godly
	presence event (Nora), fishing extravaganza event, 'wear replacing'
	command, and the old eq restore room in Arelium (not in use
	anymore).

Mordrin;;;;Quoteth Wizard Plaque: "A very old wizard, he even used to be an archwizard.
	The first american archwizard. But after a conflict with the other arches 
	he removed his legendary Infernal Knights and left Bat. A lot of old players
	got screwed when he did that, much more screwed then you can imagine.
	So swallow your tunes, it's nothing compared to Mordrin removing IKs."$

	Another all-around wizard, who was also well known as mortal.
	Has worked on many things, including guild code maintenance
	and cleanups. Was also previously known as Maggoth.
	He has a easy to use boon-calculator and some nice triggers
	for BatClient and TF on his homepage, so check them out.

	The first swedish archwizard and coder of the well-known classic area,
	"Plura's Castle".

Freld;;;;
	Established leader of parties and well-known player in general,
	immorted in September 2010 and has since worked on game-balance issues,
	various tunes and gameplay improvements.

Grizzt;fin;bat;;
	One of the quiet codeslaves who work in the shadows, Grizzt's
	work for the greater good of BatMUD has gone mostly unknown to the
	general public.
	[p]
	As a notable exception to the rule, he did the recoding of ~Saruman~'s
	popular old area "Wrebies".

Tarken;usa;;tarken.jpg;
	Known as a "trigger-master" and "Tarken the robot" as mortal,
	Tarken was practically forced to wizardhood to pay for his
	sins as a cheater. But as they say, good cheaters make the
	best wizards...
	[p]
	Tarken immorted in Jan 2009, and decided to use his robotting powers for
	good of all mudkind ever since, focusing also on such things as bugfixes,
	but has taken up maintenance of ship code after ~Melemkor~'s
	retirement. He is also responsible for spells/skills effects system
	and works on merchants guild, as is appropriate for someone
	interested in that craft.
	[p]
	Random tidbits (current as of July 2011):
	<ul>
	<li>Has fixed the second most bugs in Batmud history (about 1900, short
	of Favorit's winning 2500-2600 or so)</li>
	<li>Mostly works on mudlib coding, but also has several areas under
	development.</li>
	<li>The person currently responsible for Nergal subguild of Lords of Chaos
	(a responsibility which seems to change hands every once in a
	while.)</li>
	</ul>

Duke;usa;bat;;
	American archwizard. Coded a lots of stuff, including the
	legendary Narcuul (and his shards). Infamous for his sudden
	tunes, often ad-libbed as "duketunes".

	Purged/defrobbed/disabled in Aug 2017 after being inactive for a long time, and
	returning to cause drama.

	Our Irish leprechaun reinforcement, mr. Ens, immorted 29 Aug 2010.
	He has mostly worked on the lib-side of things, including improved
	AI for NPC ships, etc.

	An old wizard, who retired and remorted for many years. He
	re-immorted in mid August 2013 and worked on one small area
	(Satyr forest).

	Legendary player as mortal, immorted 15 Jul 2014.
	His best known wizardly accomplishments include the
	"Bats & Slovenian War Heroes" card game, which was
	released to the public at BatMUD's 25th anniversary celebration.

	legendary concept of "world magic" into the game, though it was
	removed soon after.

Merri;;;;
	Expanded Zoso's Caverns of the Undying, adding Massive iron statue and Listar.

Gem;;;;
	Mudmarried to ~Jaf~, the creator of BatMUD.
	Was supposedly married to ~Franco~ in real life
	(help rumors).

Ramjett;usa;bat;;
	Immorted 5 Dec 2006, coded one area and one event (Dragon
	Attack, with ~Hackop~). Remorted in early 2009. Re-immorted
	11 Jun 2019. Remorted again at some point.

Nerya;fin;bat;nerya.jpg;
	Nerya. The Name. The Man. The Legend. Nerya immorted 26 Jun 2008.
	His finished projects include in-game news RSS-feed generator and many delicious
	bugfixes.

Acidia;fin;;;
	Works on various aspects of the Merchant guild, one of the
	best known and loved things implemented by Acidia is the
	"Minecrafting" system.

	Original coder of the area complex collectively known as "Seance's",
	aka Foul's Creche + Guard's Gap + Seance's platform + Kevin's watch
	+ Mithil Stonedown + Revelstone + Urvile tree/Woodhelven.

Nosunrise;fin;;;
	Immorted 15 Jan 2023. As a mortal, he was a long-time player and known for his
	<a href="https://batshoppe.dy.fi/">Reinc simulator and other BatMUD related
	tools</a>, which he still maintains. His wizardly work includes
	areas and gameplay improvements.

	Coded the now-disabled "Man in the Moon" event.
	Ancient wizard, now purged. Active between 1998 - 1999.

	From homepages:
	"Started playing BATMUD sometime around 1995. Became a wizard for the first
	time in July 1998. Coded a couple of areas and an event but got overwhelmed
	with an urge to play again and subsequently remorted early September 1999.
	Played for about two years until I realized my mistake and got a second shot
	at being a wizard on the 5th of December 2001 and since then I've been
	coding happily. That's about it."
